2024 Indie Author Wrap Up

2024 has ended and I completed my first year of publishing and it's been an exciting and major learning curve that I can't believe has become my life! On Social Media there was this trend going around about Indie Author Wrap Up, and I'm so happy I did it because it showed me what I got accomplished, and what I didn't. But thankfully I am so much further ahead than I anticipated.

The fact that I got 20 books published in 2024 is amazing, all together since I started publishing in December of 2023, I have 27 books listed. So all in all, I'm ecstatic with what I've accomplished and hope I can maintain the momentum for 2025!

Now it's crazy for me to see this many words written down, knowing I've done a lot of books for my ghostwriting clients. I haven't looked to see exactly how many words I've written, but I won't be surprised if it's almost double this since I write longer books for some of my clients, and I write the shorts. But this word count makes me happy. I'm a fast writer so the bigger the number the happier I get, lol!

Currently I only write in the one genre. But I want to write in so many more, and I'm wondering if I should do multiple pens names, and which should be under which pen name. It's a lot of big decisions. I'm happy for 2024 I ended up focusing only on this one because I want this to grow and make sure I provide a lot of content for my readers. But I won't lie and say I wouldn't love some hints on other things you would love for me to write lol!!!

It's a given I will be expanding because there are other things I want to write, but I know I need to be smart about it because there is only so much time in a day. Everything I do has to be worth my time and my enjoyment, so it's a process. Thankfully, from the get go I found my happy niche that won't tire me out because I'm obsessed with short spicy romance. I read it all the time and get excited to write it every day too. 

To have hit so many of my goals in the first year is crazy impressive for me!! But I really want to hit the 4 figure months, 100 preorders, sell 100 books in one day, and 150k page reads a month. Fingers crossed I can get to it in 2025!!!

To see this many page reads on one book is exciting!

Even more so when it's with this book, where I had the best time doing this multi-author collaboration with some authors I admire and fangirl over repeatedly!!! Talk about a truly blessed moment that I hope to have many times over throughout my long author career. There is nothing like sharing space with some of the most amazing authors who lift you up and give you something to strive for. 

But of course, none of this works without the readers! I thank you all so much for taking the time to read my books, review them, purchase them, share them. It's amazing to have such a following who helps me to achieve my dreams. 

Now tell me, what are you dreaming about? What are you hoping 2025 will accomplish? Because this is a new chapter of your story and it would be a shame to waste it.
